Affirmative: Going to Paris

I'm going! I purchased my ticket, and I leave July 31st. 3 days!

I have so many things to get done before hand however. Yesterday I bought new luggage; courtesy of Niki's parents. Big thank-you to them for that, I love my new London Fog bags. I've got all the travel books and information a person could need. I still need to get a power adapter for my different electronics. And, yes, I am bringing my blow dryer. I don't care if it takes 30 billion watts and I "should buy another one while i'm there". I love my very handy blow dryer/curling iron. So im not going to try to find another amazing one. I have to say thankyou Niki! Im so lucky to have such a helpful boyfriend who doesnt mind driving me around and taking care of so many things for me - Id be lost doing this without you!

Over the next few days Im going to try to see as many of my friends as I can before I head out. Yesterday I had dinner with Jenna and Alex - Jenna was so sweet to buy me some stuff for my flight. Hopefully I'll have a chance to see everyone esle by Thursday!

Well I have to start packing up all my stuff in my new luggage! New luggage always makes packing way more fun!

Au revoir!

Going to Paris?

Through a friend I came to hear about au pairs. These are students and young people who go overseas to work for a family as a nanny; in return for their work they are granted a place to live, food and some pocket money. For fun one night I made a profile on a popular au pair website that helps its members meet families worldwide. Before I knew it there were messages in my inbox asking me if Id like to go to Germany, Australia, and France. I was surprised that I even heard anything, but I looked over the profiles anyways. Before I knew it I had come across some great families and I found myself really wanting to go and try the au pair life out. After conversing with one particular family I believe I have found the perfect family to go and work for. They have one little boy and need help taking care of him while the parents work. They have a great set up for me, I know I can be very useful to them and I'm quite sure they and their city have a lot to offer me.

1 month in Paris.
